And the winner is.... The Annual 2017 Launch Party goes off with a bang!

Published by

It gives us great pleasure to announce this year’s Creativepool Annual winners, revealed last night at the Annual Awards Ceremony at Protein Studios. A total of 251 winners were crowned between both the creative Annual categories and the Award categories, including the much anticipated Influencer of the Year Award.

The Annual 2017, a comprehensive collection of creative excellence across 33 categories saw entries and winners from across the globe, with creatives from 17 countries proudly taking home Awards. The Annual Launch Party was a night of celebrating creativity and diversity around the world, while championing Creativepool as a global meeting place for creative minds.

Unlike traditional awards that just sits on an awards shelf, the work receives unparalleled exposure through the launch of the Annual printed publication that will be delivered to the desks of agencies and brands around the globe, on top of distribution at major creative festivals such as Cannes Lions. Winners receive a coveted Gold Annual, presented to winners at the ceremony.

The work this year surpassed our expectations and we are genuinely humbled by the response from the community. With a two part judging process, there were two ways for winners to appear in this unique Annual. One part is the traditional judging process with our panel of esteemed judges, from the likes of Google, Facebook, Havas and Leo Burnett. This revered group had quite the challenge this year with the added categories and remarkable quality of the entries, but delivered thoughtful comments and excellent critique to choose their winners; we are incredibly grateful for their time and expertise.

The other part, challenging all other awards in the industry, was the People’s Choice voting, which this year saw over 20,000 votes cast while engagement and exposure reached zenith. The Annual 2017 democratises the system by offering a voice to the creative community and providing further exposure for entered works.

The only industry award distinguishing an Influencer of the Year was announced at the climax of the evening. The highly anticipated announcement was made to cheers from the crowd of the Creative Industries finest, with the judges selecting Susan Credle, Global Chief Creative Officer at FCB Global, while the People’s Choice was won by Dominique Delport, Global Managing Director of Havas Group & Chairman of Vivendi Content.

AKQA was revealed as the Agency of the Year and also received two Gold Annuals for their groundbreaking work in technology.

jones knowles ritchie had another outstanding year taking home nine Gold Annuals for their innovative work for big clients like Hippeas, Dominos, and Budweiser.

Iris Worldwide and The Partners were also big winners taking home seven and five Gold Annuals respectively.

“The Annual showcases the vastly talented companies and individuals found on our platform and is just a fraction of the incredible work uploaded to creativepool.com this year, work selected by a panel of judges that included some of the creative industry’s biggest names” - Michael Tomes, Founder of Creativepool.

During the evening, guests were greeted with a glass of prosecco, courtesy of our partners Union Jackson and Mediterranean canapes from the team at Clove London. There was an open bar of amazing craft ales and ciders from Crate Brewery of Hackney, which found everybody enjoying a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by smooth background beats from our partners Massive Music.

The Flash Pack, our photography partners set up a full custom photo booth rig, capturing 3D, double exposures that were broadcast over our social channels using #Annual2017, creating a social media buzz.

A big thank you goes out to jones knowles ritchie and Saddington Baynes for their continued support and partnership of the 2017 Annual and Annual Awards. We would also like to thank our print parnter, Ambrose Press who made the Annual look incredible once more, and our partner, Made In Global, who produce handcrafted leather goods in Florence.

And now for the news you have been waiting for! A massive congratulations to all the winners listed below.
