Jason De Turris was named this week as the new chief strategy officer at CP+B, a promotion from his role as VP, executive planning director. As part of the promotion he'll be relocating to Hong Kong to help open the agency's new Hong Kong office and oversee global strategy on its Infiniti account. At CP+B he has worked with brand's such as Hotels.com, Best Buy and Xbox One, and has played a key role in the creation of two premium spirit brands: Angel’s Envy Bourbon and Papa’s Pilar Rum. Throughout his career he has worked at top agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Deutsch and JWT, and has managed strategy for the global launches of game-changing brands like Rolex.

CP+B president Steve Erich, said, “Jason is a courageous and strategic thinker who is able to combine all the necessary elements for understanding and moving a brand forward through different challenges and across multiple cultures.” He adds that “Winning Infiniti was a team effort and he played an instrumental role in making it happen, which makes him a terrific person to help lead CP+B’s physical entry into Asia.” De Turris himself said “CP+B has always been about creating an environment for the bravest possible work to live,” and he's looking forward to exporting their culture to new regions. He believes they have “A massive opportunity and adventure ahead,” and is honoured to be a part of this “Exciting new stage in the agency’s global growth.”

 

Havas

The Havas Media Group has appointed Michael Lelievre as chief financial officer for the Asia Pacific region. Lelievre, who most recently held the same role at SAGA, will be responsible for finance, legal, HR and IT, with a key mandate to support the general management in developing business in the region. He will be working closely with regional and local teams and will report jointly to Vishnu Mohan, CEO of Havas Media Group APAC, and Antonio Caceres Martinez, Global CFO of Havas Media Group. Lelievre has 19 years of experience in the finance space, 18 of which have been spent with the Bollore Group, SAGA's parent company.

Vishnu said that Lelievre is “A very senior and highly experienced finance professional with a breadth of experience having worked both in global headquarters and local markets in his previous roles.” He feels the new CFO will be “Instrumental in steering the group towards achieving” their financial goals. The man himself said that “Logistics and media are both evolving industries with significant financial commitments and minimum assets and pressurised margins, making the financial division key in the organisation.” He is “Delighted to be a part of this new industry, which is undergoing a massive transformation.”

 

Saatchi & Saatchi

Earlier this week, Saatchi & Saatchi executive creative directors Corey Chalmers and Guy Roberts announced that Terry William-Willcock has been appointed to the role of digital creative director of the agency's New Zealand operations. He will lead a 22-strong digital department at Saatchi & Saatchi NZ, consisting of skilled coders, producers and developers. His appointment underlines Saatchi & Saatchi's plans to expand and strengthen their digital capabilities. He will join Saatchi & Saatchi on the 2nd of February 2015 from the Clemenger network, where he has worked for the last decade. He was originally based in Wellington, where he spearheaded the digital offering at Aim Proximity, but move to Auckland in 2011 to drive digital creative for Colenso/Proximity. He began his career in the UK as an interactive designer, working directly with brands such as Sony Europe, Microsoft and BP on large-scale digital marketing solutions.

Chalmers and Roberts said that one of their first jobs as new ECDs was to “Find the right kind of leadership” for Saatchi NZ's digital offering,” and feel that William-Willcock was “The perfect creative mind” for them.” They say he is a “Rare breed that can balance digital complexities with broader strategic thinking,” and can “See past a lot of surface 'digi-fizz' solutions and offer much more substance of thought and care for real business problems.” William-Willcock, meanwhile, said he is “Bloody excited about the opportunity to help lead the creative digital future for Saatchi & Saatchi NZ, working alongside two of New Zealand’s most amazing creatives, Gus and Corey.” He is enthusiastic about the strong culture at the agency and feels that “Saatchi’s are on a roll at the moment with a load of hugely talented people.”
