DigitasLBi, has announced Alvaro Cabrera as chief strategy officer for North America. In his new role, Alvaro will report to Tony Weisman, CEO of DigitasLBi North America. As CSO, Alvaro will work closely with CCO Ronald Ng, and global chief data scientist Jason Kodish. He will also partner with Baba Shetty (global chief media officer) to deliver a consistent approach to strategy across teams and disciplines. Prior to this post, Cabrera served as the managing director and head of engagement planning at OgilvyOne New York. Cabrera was also the global lead for OgilvyOne's proprietary planning methodology and tool, which he played a crucial role in developing and deploying across their entire network worldwide.

DigitasLBi also announced a revamp of its UK creative department this week, including the appointment of Isobar’s Pierre Duquesnoy as creative director and the promotion of two of its most senior creative leads, Helen Fuchs and Christopher Lee Ball. DigitasLBi is to merge its existing Creative, User Experience and Content Strategy disciplines to form a new creative super group. In his new role, Duquesnoy will have a particular focus on integrated creative work, and will oversee the creative output for a number of the agency’s key accounts, which include Honda and Samsung. The agency has also promoted two of its senior creative leads, with creative director Helen Fuchs taking on the role of ECD and head of user experience Christopher Lee Ball becoming executive experience director. The pair will work together to oversee the agency’s branded experience work.

The Atlanta-based modern marketing solution agency Moxie, announced this week that Kristina Jonathan has joined its team as EVP of strategy. In this newly created role, Jonathan will help steer Moxie's efforts to connect the dots between content, creative, channel, technology and data solutions. She most recently served as Group Director, Digital Strategy at The Richards Group and, prior to that, spent considerable time at the helm of her own company, KLJ Consulting Group. Her extensive experience spans industries ranging from retail, hospitality/travel, entertainment and gaming to CPG, finance, telecom and QSR.

Moxie announced this week that Kristina Jonathan has joined its team as EVP of strategy

Ogilvy Public Relations announced this week that Kerry Sette has been named EVP/research director of the agency's Research Group, based in New York. Sette's appointment signals Ogilvy PR's ongoing commitment to research-driven insights that solve client challenges and drive business outcomes. A seasoned researcher with deep expertise in a wide variety of research methodologies and topics, Sette will build upon Ogilvy PR's already strong Research Group, products, and approaches. She will be responsible for leading the agency's New York-based Research Group, a team of dedicated research professionals who design and conduct research to inform client programs, new business pursuits, and thought leadership platforms. The research team advises clients and teams on research programs, develops new research-based products and measurement models, and better integrates data and analytics into research functions.

Ogilvy PR announced this week that Kerry Sette has been named EVP/research director of the agency's Research Group

Wunderman

Ian Haworth, the global chief creative officer of Rapp, has been appointed as the executive creative director of Wunderman in the UK and EMEA. Haworth, who is also the chairman of Rapp UK, takes on responsibility for running Wunderman UK’s creative department and, as the first ECD for the EMEA region, will also oversee creative output across the region. He is expected to start in October, when he will report to Mel Edwards, Wunderman’s EMEA chief executive and UK chairman and Chris Perry, its UK chief executive. Perry said: “Ian is the perfect mix of great bloke and genius creative and we’re really delighted to welcome him into the team.”

Ian Haworth has been appointed as the executive creative director of Wunderman in the UK and EMEA

Haworth has worked at Rapp since 2001. He was promoted to global chief creative officer of Rapp in 2006 having been given the chairman role on top of his existing responsibilities as executive creative director of London the previous year. Haworth has also previously worked at Tequila\Worldwide as executive creative director and Saatchi & Saatchi Direct New Zealand where he spent three years. In the UK, he takes on responsibilities previously handled by Matt Batten, the former chief creative officer, who left in April to pursue new opportunities.

BWM Dentsu

BWM Dentsu has announced the appointment of Alex Carr to the Sydney team as managing director. Carr will take over the role from founding partner Jamie Mackay, who has been the acting Sydney MD for the last 24 months and will now resume his role as chief strategy officer, BWM Dentsu.

 
During his stint at Havas Worldwide, Carr oversaw one the most successful periods in the agency’s history, and drastically changed the quality of work and culture of the agency in the process.

 Prior to his time at Havas Worldwide, Carr worked across a number of high profile clients at Saatchi & Saatchi, M&C Saatchi, and other top advertising agencies in both Australia and London.

BWM Dentsu has announced the appointment of Alex Carr to the Sydney team as managing director

Chandelier

Brand agency Chandelier has announced the addition of Zan Goodman as design director of the New York office. In her new role, Zan will collaborate with senior leadership across the agency’s portfolio to ensure Chandelier’s creative offering is best in class. At Chandelier, Goodman will report to Richard Christiansen, founder and co-creative director. Over the past several years, Goodman has worked with the Chandelier team in a freelance capacity, providing design support and working across numerous clients, including Old Navy, Target, Chandon, Lane Crawford, Roxy and Bergdorf Goodman. Previously, she also served as a designer for Condé Nast, working on their Teen Vogue publication.

Camp + King

Creative agency Camp + King has appointed Carlisle Hensley to the role of senior social strategist. Prior to joining C+K, Hensley led the Social Analytics group at Oakland-based shop EVB. Jamie King, Camp + King’s founder and CEO, said: “Carlisle couples her deep understanding of social channels and conversations with strong strategic chops. She’s a great addition to our team.”

Camp + King has appointed Carlisle Hensley to the role of senior social strategist

Hensley was born and raised in a small Southern town. Growing up in a culture where everyone waves to strangers and knows everybody’s business might be what led her to pursue social media. She began her career helping the United States Marine Corp recruit on emerging social channels back when a college email address was required for Facebook membership. As platforms proliferated and conversations increased, she shifted her focus from planning to analysis.

BD Network

BD Network has bolstered its creative department with a number of new appointments. Jolyon Grose, who re-joins the agency as head of copy, was previously responsible for working on a number of pitches including Coca-Cola, InBev and Nintendo. Jolyon brings with him over 19 years of experience within the industry, from both client and agency. Louise Taylor also joins BD Network as a copywriter, previous to which she worked at The Marketing Store where she worked on McDonald’s, New Look and Carlsberg. Other creative hires include Stephen Plaster as art director, as well as Candice Bender, Meera Taank and Jennifer Oliver who join as designers.

The appointments follow a number of new business wins for the agency in recent months including the latest promotion for Fly Cadbury Air and becoming lead activation agency for InBev brand Corona. MEC has appointed Ben Poole to the newly created role of chief digital officer in the UK. Poole will provide digital leadership to MEC’s clients, accelerating digital transformation by ensuring that strategies encompass owned, earned and paid channels. He brings his experience in Asia Pacific of working with mobile and emerging tech combined with his broader digital expertise to the UK’s strong heritage in digital marketing. He joins from MEC Asia Pacific where he spent six years leading the agency's digital transformation across the region.
