OgilvyOne has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of four additional managing partners; Anya King, Mel Stanley, Tracey Barber and Aaron Goldring, with all promotions effective immediately. OgilvyOne CEO Sam Williams Thomas, is “Absolutely delighted to have Anya, Mel, Tracey and Aaron on the leadership team” as they continue to grow their business. He hopes the appointments will help OgilvyOne to “Remain the world’s leading customer engagement agency,” and he looks to the “Latest generation of leaders to demonstrate the passion and energy to drive the business forward.”

King was hired by OgilvyOne to run the BT Business, IBM, Sage and BP business to business. She took over the BT Consumer business and sits on the leadership team of OgilvyOne and OgilvyOnednx. Stanley joined the agency in 2010 as planning partner and strategic lead on British Gas, and was promoted to customer engagement planning director in 2013. Barber began her career at the IPA and Meteorite, before joining OgilvyOne in 2010. She has helped the agency to top the new business league table and win Campaign Direct Agency of the Year for three consecutive years. Finally, Golding began his career as a digital designer in Auckland before becoming digital creative director at DDB New Zealand. He joined OgilvyOne in London in 2013, and is now the worldwide creative director on the BA account.

 

Doner

Doner, the full-service advertising agency, has appointed Jason Gaboriau as EVP, executive creative director and Zihla Salinas as EVP, managing director at Doner LA. In these roles, the duo will use their deep and eclectic industry experience to grow and define the agency's vision for the future and uncover unique opportunities for new and existing clients, while establishing a strong collaboration between strategy and creative. Their appointments follow a year of significant growth across the Doner network, and more recently comes hot on the heels of new client partnerships for Doner LA, including Menchies, Neato Robotics and Jafra International. In her role, Salinas will develop and oversee Doner LA’s operations and be an integral part in bringing its vision to life, working closely with Gaboriau. She joins Doner LA from its partner company MDC Partners, where she served as SVP strategy and development. Prior to this she was the CMO of Rapp, where she led business development, agency branding and client strategy on digital and multi-channel CRM and initiatives. Gaboriau, meanwhile, will oversee the creative work and will be responsible for the overall creative direction for the agency’s clients. His work with Salinas will be instrumental in harmonising creativity with strategy across the agency’s growing client roster. Most recently, he served as VP, executive creative director at Crispin, Porter + Bogusky LA, where he grew the agency from a small production outpost with one client to a fully integrated agency with over 100 employees and several major clients.

The new EVPs will report to Doner CEO's David DeMuth and Rob Strasberg. DeMuth said “In 2014, the Doner network experienced tremendous growth,” he feels the agency is now well placed to continue the momentum “By turning the spotlight on Doner LA.” He says they have found that “LA has extraordinary growth opportunities,” and believes that “Both Zihla and Jason are smart, creative and modern thinkers” who will “Lead the growth of the LA office and build out all of its possibilities.” Strasberg adds that Salinas and Gaboriau are “Insightful, accountable and creative which is why they’ve been so successful throughout their careers at growing businesses and transforming brands.” He calls them “Monster creative thinkers and skilful strategic assassins, who are more importantly wonderful people with open minds and big hearts,” and he feels they “Couldn’t have found two better individuals to come together to take Doner LA to an entirely different level.” Salinas said “This is a great time to join the Doner network as the agency looks to the future.” She feels Doner is “Poised for incredible growth in 2015 and beyond, and has some exciting new client work already underway.” Gaboriau adds that “The energy at Doner LA is thrilling.” and says the vision he and Salinas have for the future of the offices is “Bold and bright.”

 

Gyro Chicago

Gyro has appointed Mark Witthoefft as head of planning at its Chicago office. Witthoefft’s wide-ranging experience in digital shops like Razorfish and R/GA and traditional shops like Arnold and Element 79, means he's perfectly suited to the role. He has also served a wide variety of blue-chip clients throughout his career, including Capital One, Gatorade, Grey Goose, State Farm, Sprint and the truth anti-smoking campaign. He joins Gyro Chicago’s highly successful leadership team of EVP/GM Mike Hensley, ECD Doug Kamp and president Brian Peters from digital shop Resource, where he served as executive director of integrated strategy.

Hensley said that Witthoefft's “Deep brand strategy experience combined with his knowledge across both traditional and digital channels makes him the perfect fit for Gyro Chicago.” Kemp adds that he is “A well-rounded thinker,” who has “Proven that he knows how to ignite expansive ideas, conversations and experiences.” Peters also adds that Witthoefft is “Fluent across every discipline,” having “Built brands through traditional marketing communications, taught clients how to harness social listening-fuelled insights, and deepened brand identities through digital’s myriad opportunities including social, platform development, CRM and content marketing.”

 

ZenithOptimedia

Joni Ngai has joined Performics, the performance marketing specialist for ZenithOptimedia in China. In her new role, she will work to accelerate growth for the business through diversification of its existing client portfolio, as well as developing new business partnerships. She began her career with Razorfish in New York in 2000, and since then, she has worked with a number of digital agencies, including Havas Digital and MRM Worldwide in the Great China region. She was previously digital evangelist of Sitecore, the leader in customer experience management technology, where she developed best practices and frameworks and drove digital transformation for brands such as P&G and L’Oreal.
