As the official partner of Cannes Lions Festival, Creativepool is taking their Pool Party concept to Cannes on the evening of Thursday 25th June 2015. Co-hosted by the likes of Massive Music, The Industry Club, The Foundry, Creative Translation and Ground CTRL, this is set to be a huge night.

This year’s Festival will be one of the most diverse ever. How could it not be when big names such as former US Vice President Al Gore, ‘AntiChrist Superstar’ Marilyn Manson, 25 year old founder of Snapchat Evan Spiegel and Seinfeld alumni and Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus are on hand. Not to mention Tim Berners-Lee who invented a little something known as the World Wide Web. With all these thought-leaders, creative visionaries and more, there’ll definitely be something to inspire you.

You can find our private Pool Party in Cannes kicking off outside the Palais’ beautiful theatres. And trust us, there’s not better place to be under the sun on a Thursday evening. The event has attracted an outstanding amount of professionals from agencies and brands such as Ogilvy & Mather, VCCP, Leo Burnett, W K, BBH, JWT, R/GA,OMD, Saatchi & Saatchi, BMW, Google, Uniliver, Adidas, Amazon, Microsoft, Audio Network, Smoke & Mirrors, Bang TV, Haymarket, Havas, Time Inc. and many more.

The Pool Party in Cannes will be a hub for professionals to mingle with colleagues, peers and meet potential clients with a Champagne reception, drinks, a sunny lounge, entertainment, and tunes by Massive Music DJs. Plus, The Industry Club gives the guests the chance to get their hands on four micro scooters, so you can zip around town. That means no more missing events, standing in taxi queues, or having to sit down because of tired legs. Phew.

With an event like Cannes, the talent always outweighs the awards. So Creative Translation and Creativepool are teaming up for the #talentshowcase. During the Pool Party, Creative Translation will be giving away free beers with special labels featuring a selection of different Creativepool artists and their work. Creativepool founder Michael Tomes said: “I can’t wait. This is our first year taking the Pool Party concept out to Cannes and we have massively underestimated the pull of the event to the Cannes massive. We have 2,000 people signed up to come to the event to drink champagne in the sun around a pool with a group of some of the most influential people in the creative industry”.

“Cannes is such an important event for so many of us in the creative industries. It is not just a chance to celebrate the awards with the agencies and brands but it is also a time to catch up with friends in the industry and make new lasting business connections”.

He continued, “The global reach of the festival makes it a perfect way to catch up with business colleagues from around the world. It is also associated with you getting next to zero sleep for the week and for drinking so much Rose that the sight of it for the next 11 months will make you temporarily loose the will to live”.
