Vote For The Best Of The European Web

Published by

If you’ve seen the Bombay Sapphire “Imagination Series,” Bic’s “Universal Typeface” experiment or the cheeky “Do It for Denmark” campaign, you know that 2014 has been an incredible year for creative, inspiring online work.

And now you can help choose the best of the best.

Creativepool is partners with our friends for the 4th Annual Lovie Awards, who is honouring the top digital work from Europe, and they have just announced their Finalists and launched this year’s People’s Lovie Awards, a two-week campaign where you vote for the very best of the European Internet, deciding who you think deserves to win a Lovie Award.

Categories cover the full breadth of the Internet, from websites, mobile and social to video and interactive advertising. You can help decide which social media campaign made the biggest splash, which branded game won the day and whether anyone can unseat Jamie Oliver as the reigning Best Web Personality.

The Lovies are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). UK judges like Songkick co-founder Michelle You, Sophie Rouse, Digital Director at the Nike Foundation, and actor and writer Stephen Fry have selected the Finalists from the thousands of entries received from companies like Vice Media, Deportivo, The Guardian, Google Creative Lab, Jam, and R/GA London, as well as boutique shops like UZIK from Paris and Konstellation from Denmark. Apps and websites like SoundCloud, SwiftKey, Shazam and EyeEm. Creativepool has been selected as a finalisted in the Website: Social & Community category and are competing for your votes and the chance to add a Lovie Award to their trophy case.

So if you love looking at impressive digital work (and having a strong opinion about it, of course), go to peopleslovie.eu and cast your votes for the best of the European Web. Voting for The 4th Annual Lovie Awards is open through the 9th of October. Winners will be announced 14 October.

The Lovie Awards is the only pan-European award honouring excellence on the Web. Now in its fourth year, The Lovie Awards continues to celebrate the most resonant and pertinent stories in Europe, building on the 19-year legacy of its global sister, The Webby Awards. Past winners include Stephen Fry, Björk, Vic Hayes (The "Father of Wi-Fi"), Candy Crush, Artist JR, Tweetdeck and Prof. Heinz Gerhaüser, creator of the MP3 File.
