iControl Network's 'Piper' smart home brand choose Grey San Francisco as Agency of Record

Published by

It was announced yesterday that Grey San Francisco has been chosen by the iControl Network, the Canadian company that specialises in providing connected home solutions, to be the first agency of record for 'Piper', the company's revolutionary all-in-one, Wi-Fi-enabled home security and automation device. The agency will be overseeing all of the product's advertising, media planning and buying in a new integrated campaign, which is expected to debut later in the summer.

Piper is a small, but deceptively powerful device that can be used for both home monitoring and automation, and can communicate with your home's network over Wi-Fi

Piper is a completely unique smart home device, which launched in the UK earlier this month. Piper is a small, but deceptively powerful device that can be used for both home monitoring and automation. The device contains a camera, microphone and speaker, a 105db siren and motion and environment sensors. It can communicate with your home's network over Wi-Fi and be operated through a bespoke iOS or Android app, through which the device's owners can capture and bring up images, audio and video.

The device is fully customisable, which means that (for example) a user could program it to record video whenever motion is detected, or email/SMS message the owner. All recorded images and footage is not only stored on the device, but it uploaded to the company's own Cloud storage platform, so even if your device is destroyed, you'll still be able to recall footage. Alongside the Piper device, iControl is further pioneering the next generation of “Connected living,” through its OpenHome Partner Program, which allows partners to easily certify and engineer their products to work with the iControl platform.

Piper is a disruptive connected home technology that requires a unique, compelling and global marketing strategy to help it come to life.” Greg Roberts

Greg Roberts, vice president of marketing for iControl and the piper device, says that their new product is a “Disruptive connected home technology that requires a unique, compelling and global marketing strategy to help it come to life.” He feels that the team at Grey San Francisco are perfectly poised to promote the device bevause of their “Creative strength, full range of capabilities across communications platforms and deep understanding of the technology category.” All attributes that he feels will serve iControl well, as they “Roll out Piper across the globe." Grey San Francisco's president, Milan Martin, meanwhile, is genuinely honoured to be working with such a unique and innovative company and looks forward to helping them make the Piper brand, “A brand people know and love around the world."
