DLKW Lowe has been given the creative account for the UK Post Office following a review where it pitched against high-profile competitors such as Ogilvy, WCRS and Engine. DLKW take the reins from Dare, who won the account back in 2009, but were not able to re-pitch in the latest review after being rejected for the Government roster.

In the interim, the Post Office has worked with FCB Inferno, who created the company's Christmas ad, featuring comedic actor Robert Webb and pop star Pixie Lott. FCB was amongst the agencies pitching for the account, but didn't make it to the final round. That being said, it will still be handling all of the company's digital and direct mail work, at least until next year when the contract expires. The first work for the account from DLKW is expected early next year.

Lowe & Partners

Global specialist insurer, Hiscox, has awarded the Lowe and Partners (L&P) network the account for DirectAsia, the Singapore-based insurance company, in a win that marks the first piece of integrated business won jointly by Lowe and digital division Lowe Profero in Asia since the acquisition of Profero in January of this year. The account will be led by an integrated Lowe and partners network team headed up by Asia Pacific Regional President, Rupen Desai, Lowe Profero’s Global CEO Wayne Arnold and Southeast Asia MD Stuart Edwards, and will launch new work in Singapore and Hong Kong early next year.

Annabel Venner, global brand director of Hiscox, said they selected L&P “For their strong integrated ideas,” and because the agency not only had “A deep understanding” of their target consumer, but were “Strategically able to bring cohesiveness to seemingly diverse elements of the communications programme.” Desai said that Lowe Asia Pacific are “Proud to partner with the Hiscox group on DirectAsia,” and feels that “Lowe and Lowe Profero teams working as one idea community for the client’s growth is the shape of things to come.” Wayne Arnold, Global CEO of Lowe Profero added; “Working together with DirectAsia demonstrates the vision (of a seamless and integrated offering for clients), with as much focus on the copy of a Google keyword as a TV or print execution.”

Missouri Creative

The Spanish supermarket chain Eroski recently appointed the London-based brand design agency Missouri Creative to lead a new look and feel for the brand after a four-way pitch. The agency has been asked to create a flexible communications style that will be applied across all areas of the brand's communications. The logo and “Always with you” strap line are to remain, but the agency will be implementing a new suite of brand icons, a new overall style, new photography and more, with the first work set to roll out from February next year.

Eroski recently appointed the London-based brand design agency Missouri Creative to lead a new look and feel for the brand

Carolina Najar Mendivil, the marketing director at Eroski, said they chose Missouri because it had a “deep understanding of modern retailing,” and had worked with similar brands. She also added that she thought they came up with some “fantastic creative concepts” in the pitch that captured the direction they want to go as a brand. Stuart Wood, creative partner at Missouri, said their approach to the pitch was “All about championing the real stories behind the brand in a way that helps consumers see themselves in the brand.” He believes it's these human stories that really matter to consumers and believes their new communications style will really bring this to life. He adds “Eroski is not the end result; it’s the means to great life experiences.”
