Junior Community Manager | Advertising Agency | Central London | £18-20K

An integrated advertising agency, part of a global network of agencies with over 140 offices worldwide, are looking for a Junior Community Manager to assist with the growth of their social media offering. Working with the Social Activation Manager and Digital Creative Director, the Junior CM will provide hands-on support for the social strategies the agency is developing for its clients.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in the mainstream social media platforms, and will be looking to develop their capabilities to the next level within an agency environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to have an integral role in developing this agency's social media offering.



Responsibilities:

* Managing social media communities by posting content, participating in and creating conversations, and identifying advocates and influencers
* Content creation, including writing/formatting posts and conversation starters
* Creation of action plans, content calendars, timings and reports
* Following agency protocols for monitoring community activity and escalating any issues as they happen
* Working closely with the wider agency teams to understand ongoing marketing and campaign activities for your clients

Experience and skills:

* Hands-on community management experience, ideally within an agency environment
* An interest in analytics, finding out how a community responds to content and other engagement methods; determining what's working and what isn't
* A passion for gaining an in-depth knowledge of the brands you're working with, understanding their products, services, history and competitors.
* Ongoing knowledge of latest social tools, platforms and trends, and how to take advantage of these
* Ability to multitask; as you'll likely be managing multiple platforms simultaneously
* Cool head and ability to continue following agency protocols when under pressure
* Good judgement when determining what's shareable and how and when is best to share it, as well as the best ways to handle feedback from online audiences
* Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate a message to your audience, whether it be short form or long form, written or visual
