Video and Photography Specialist

 

Nikwax, a leading international manufacturer of waterproofing products for clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment, requires a Video and Photography Specialist to join our Group Marketing and Identity team.

 

The Role

As the Video and Photography Specialist you will be guide the Marketing and Communication teams from both Nikwax and Paramo companies in terms of developing video and photography opportunities as well as defining the best ways to communicate visually the brand values to the consumer. You will also manage and undertake the production of in-house photography and videos; this will include storyboarding, scripting, sourcing models and relevant products and accessories.

 

Key areas of responsibility will be to promote the desirability of our products to our target market; to ensure the creation and maintenance of a structured and easily accessible library of visual content for the group as well as being able to analyse the performance of videos and photography produced and published. In addition you will keep up to date with competitors’ content to ensure that we continuously strive to remain unique and innovative against them.

 

The Person

You will have a natural creative flair with energy and enthusiasm as well as being highly organised and methodical. You must have excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal and written communication. You will be self motivated and flexible with the ability to manage multiple assignments; you will be able to set priorities and adapt to changing conditions.

 

The successful candidate will probably have three or more years experience in a similar role and have used SLR cameras and professional lenses as well as be able to use a range of Creative Cloud programmes (such as Premier/After Effects/Illustrator/Photoshop and Indesign). They will also have experience in using audio equipment. Knowledge and use of digital asset management systems (DAMs) is desirable.

 

The successful candidate should have a love of the outdoors and experience of filming in an outdoor environment.
