We are looking for a designer to join the team with a background in digital product and brand design. You must be comfortable working across many media. You're a conceptual thinker who can bring your ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. You have a strong point of view on design. It shows in your writing, speaking and work. When you decide to make something, you see your vision from concept to launch without any hand-holding.

Responsibilities

  • * Create sketches, storyboards, prototypes, and/or design specs necessary to guide development of beautiful, useful, and consistent experiences * Work closely with the Creative Director and Content Strategist to implement a cohesive visual style, voice, and tone * Manage a small team of creatives to execute on the work * Output illustration, photography, video, animation or other media (as appropriate) * Create visual content with a narrative in mind and an understanding on content hierarchy, beginning – middle - end * Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Minimum Qualifications

  • * 3–5 years experience as Art Director at a creative agency or an in-house team * Talented graphic designer with excellent visual, written and verbal communications skills. (Expertise in illustration and animation skills a plus) * Demonstrated ability to create high quality work, calmly, and with good judgment in a fast-paced, high-stress environment * Have experience coordinating, directing, and guiding the work of other designers on your team * Possesses a genuine curiosity for the why and the how before the what * Unwavering dedication to design excellence * Thrives in an environment with quick turn-around times * Ability to take design feedback and incorporate it quickly * In-depth knowledge of design principles related to branding, marketing, and publishing with demonstrable understanding of UX design, information hierarchy, user-flow, and typography * A great attitude and self-starter mentality * An outstanding portfolio of design and creative work
