We are currently recruiting for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Community Editor to join our friendly and hard-working Marketing team.

As Community Editor, it will be your job to look after all of docrafts' digital content, including its website, blog and social media channels. You will also be responsible for managing the docrafts Project Design Team, commissioning various craft projects and contributing to our monthly craft magazine, Creativity.

The role of Community Editor is varied and fun. It'll involve - but is not limited to - the following duties:

  • Planning, producing and uploading content and inspiration to docrafts.com
  • Managing the docrafts Project Design Team (12 members), including commissioning them for regular craft projects and providing detailed feedback 
  • Managing, maintaining and developing all of our social media accounts
  • Writing compelling copy for our email newsletters, as and when required

 

Key requirements

Essential

- Experience in managing professional blogs/websites and social media accounts (minimum of 9-12 months)

- Ability to produce engaging, error-free copy suited to our target audience/s

- A creative thinker and excellent communicator

- Interest in art, craft and design

- Can work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Good knowledge of current trends and industry practices

- Keen eye for detail

- CMS experience 
 
Desired

- Commissioning experience

- Basic video skills

- Ability to use Photoshop and InDesign
