So what’s the opportunity?

As a Proofreader and Writer at Clarity you will be is responsible for ensuring the quality and standards on the output of our work is absolutely top notch at all times.

We have a very busy creative studio and we design and produce various different types of marketing collateral and communications including on and offline brand experience, pitch and proposals documents, brochures, websites, email campaigns, internal comms, menus, POS and exhibitions and interiors!

You will be expected to be highly proficient at your trade and enjoy getting in to the detail of your work. Your approach must be flexible so that you can pick up the different types of media that you will potentially be required to work.

An understanding of how a brand works will be really useful to ensure consistency of message and tone of voice for all of our prestigious clients.

You should be able to work on your own steam but also be highly invested in being part of our wider team.

Clocking on and off…

Your duties day to day:

• Collaborate with our creatives, account handlers and production team to provide proofreading and writing services across our wide mix of clients

• Correct grammatical, typographical or compositional errors in the original copy
• You must be able to check, monitor and maintain brand consistency for all work
• Work with the wider team to make copy refinement recommendations when appropriate or necessary
• Work with designers to offer minor design recommendations when appropriate
• Provide content or copy as needed to drive consistency across all materials or create documents from scratch
• Manage and prioritise your workload and work under the guise of the Production Manager scheduling – there is a high volume of work so you must be able to work to often tight deadlines
• Continually expand awareness of current advertising trends, advertising and brand strategy

Skills and Qualifications Desired

• Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to stay focused for long period of time
• Excellent command of the English language, coupled with an ability to work with different writing styles and brand tone of voice
• Significant knowledge of layout, design and typography working to brand guidelines
• The ability to electronically/and or manually mark up PDFs with changes
• Confident communication style and happy making decisions and suggesting improvements
 

What experience do we need?

An English or related degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of proofreading and ideally copywriting / content writing experience
