Role

Video Web designer

We have an exciting new role for a creative, enthusiastic and detail orientated Web designer to join our busy and diverse team. As a Video Web designer, you will have a fresh and creative approach to edit and design video content.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receiving a brief or outline of footage and/or shot list, script, or screenplay;
  • Assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer;
  • Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them into files on the computer;
  • Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable;
  • Creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages;
  • Re-ordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video. Embed video material in HTML (for banner or website)
  • The deployment of banner for in site campaign Keeping up to date with latest trends and changes with digital communications
  • The design and editing of website layouts, including logo, icon and image creation Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing;
  • Experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements; Writing voiceover/commentary, whilst suggesting or selecting music.
  • You may also carry out online editing duties which involve finalising technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring, and adding special effects.

Skills/Competencies required:

Must have

  • Proficiency in Adobe Products such as After effects, Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator HTML and CSS Knowledge (Coding and DreamWeaver)
  • Knowledge of XML, JavaScript is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience of digital marketing useful, but not essentia

Good to have

  • Degree in Web Design or relevant industry knowledge/experience
  • A fresh and creative and enthusiast person who is also a good team player
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Organised, professional, accurate and passionate about design
  • Design skills that can turn visuals into high quality work
