Introduction

The Online Team sits within the Advertising Department as part of the production function. The team is responsible for creating and managing content on the lidl.co.uk website and app, along with the lidl.co.uk newsletter and additional sites such as the My Lidl community. The Online Team works closely with the other teams within the Advertising Department as well as teams such as PR, Buying and Administration.

This role is one of two online administrators, reporting into the Online Assistant Team Manager, responsible for creating and editing all visual content for the lidl.co.uk website and enewsletter. This requires daily use of InDesign and Photoshop alongside our Content Management System. Additional designs are occasionally required in order to produce advertising collateral for the online team.

Your role

  • Editing images using Photoshop and InDesign
  • Designing product based content pages for our website
  • Entering images and information into the CMS
  • Contributing to the overall design of the website
  • Editing videos using MovingImage for online use
  • Designing online advertising creative
  • Liaising with other Advertising departments such as media and brand & strategy development to ensure all published information is aligned with Advertising strategies
  • Liaising with the Buying department to approve image use/product descriptions
  • Collaborating with other production departments regarding the design of seasonal campaigns
  • Liaising with our International technology team to implement pre-designed campaigns and resolving any general online issues that occur

Your profile

  • Strong editorial background, with good grammar and experience of working with a consumer facing tone of voice
  • Proficient with InDesign and Photoshop with proven experience using a Content Management System
  • Experience using HTML5 would be desirable
  • Proven experience and a genuine passion for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong awareness of the online marketplace, including our competition with an understanding of SEO
  • A team player who is capable of performing tasks independently and to their own initiative
  • An understanding and commitment to providing the best user experience across all platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
