Agenda Creative is thrilled to be working with one of our top clients over their Account Manager vacancy. Our client is a leading branding and PR agency, having been in business for over twenty years now they have extensive experience in retail and shopper marketing. They are seeking an Account Manager who is a committed and experienced marketing and PR professional to join their team.

THE ROLE: Account Manager

  • Communicating with clients on a daily basis
  • Managing clients’ PR and marketing expectations
  • Following through any client requests (enlisting support from the in-house team where required)
  • Approaching potential new business opportunities
  • Helping devise and implement campaign strategy/plans (this will include on the ground management)
  • Attending regular client meetings
  • Contributing to the production of annual marketing plan/marketing activity plan for each of your clients – working to their brief and working with colleagues and external specialists where necessary
  • Responsible for taking client project briefs, writing creative briefs, estimating the cost of work required and managing the activity efficiently throughout all of the stages whilst sticking to the agreed budget and keeping on time
  • Briefing PR jobs to the Copywriter or Account Executive
  • Advising clients on budget updates
  • Seeking opportunities to cross and upsell for the business
  • Ensuring timely management of each campaign/event

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Account Manager

  • A graduate with a minimum of an upper 2nd class honors
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working on FMCG accounts, preferably fashion or retail, in an advertising/marketing agency
  • Some client side experience in retail or fashion would be an advantage
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure from time to time
  • Ability to think strategically and articulate marketing, creative and advertising concepts clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player
  • Confident, persuasive presenter one on one or to a larger meeting with the ability to ‘sell’ creative ideas
  • Good numeric skills and understanding of how to measure and achieve account profitability
  • Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • Experience working with social media and PR
  • Flexibility – there may be an occasional demand to work weekends/outside of office hours at events
