Job Purpose:

  • To support the ACUK System and Open Platform marketing team.
  • To create and update routine marketing related activities.
  • Manage & process all marketing material requests/tasks quickly & efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Design various creative elements
  • HTML/CSS/MySQL/CMS/PHP (preferable)
  • Web & affiliate banners
  • E-newsletters
  • Flash animation (AS2) (optional)
  • Video editing (AF)
  • Print POS (OOH, leaflets, catalogues etc)
  • Prepare product photography for websites using Photoshop
  • Interpret & work to prepared briefs for any of the above elements
  • To achieve and maintain brand objectives
  • Work alongside with senior designers and marketers
  • Liaise professionally & efficiently with our corporate server setup
  • Working across the marketing mix you will be exposed to branding, direct marketing, email marketing, PR, advertising, catalogues, reports, and digital marketing

Desired Attributes:

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified graphic designer with experience of web design.

  • Approximately 18 months full-time/part-time experience
  • You will need to have plenty of web design experience with an understanding of principles and application of web accessibility, navigation and usability
  • You should be confident working across a range of disciplines. Software skills should include: Adobe InDesign, PhotoshopIllustrator, Muse, and After Effects.
  • Digital photography manipulating skills is essential, in particular special effect creation in Photoshop.
  • Basic knowledge of print production & preparing creative for print
  • Creative thinker with a practical approach & sound commercial understanding
  • Close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills & experience in liaising with website programmers
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A good understanding of brand design
  • Excellent listener with experience of interpreting a brief
  • Ability to take initiative and bring creative and commercially viable ideas to the business
  • Passionate about all things online and digital, full of ideas and strategic creativity and ready for a challenge

Portfolio

You will need to provide a portfolio that reflects your experience working on creative campaigns which could range from sketches, painting, digital bannerscommercial print adwebsitesvideos to any form of creative artwork. Preferably an online portfolio.

  • The successful individual will be confident and able to engage across all levels and all functions.
  • Good verbal and written skills will be required.
  • A strong character able to negotiate effectively
  • Must be organized & take ownership

  • IT literacy
  • Passion for new technology
