The app creates a socially driven way for students to interactive review and comment on each others achievements and project work.

The key feature of the app allows students to upload work into their own personalised portfolio spaces – which other students can then comment on, leaving feedback and ratings. Students are able to upload text, images, video and sound content directly via the app.

Non-students of the College can also download and use the app, however commenting and reviewing is currently restricted to current students. Another feature of the app allows users to search for specific articles.

Security and moderation are also key concerns with apps of this type. Staff members of New College Durham were granted permissions to access and moderate all content before it hits the front end of the app, which allows all published content to be relevant, and avoid conflict.
