Junior/Middleweight Designer for St James's House

Custom publisher St James’s House is looking for a creative and enthusiastic junior/middleweight designer with 2–3 years experience to join its editorial team.

Based in Finchley, North London, St James’s House primarily produces bespoke high-end publications in partnership with a range of public and private sector organisations. The content usually comprises both editorial and sponsored editorial.

We need someone with an eye for detail along with the patience that is required for longer-term projects. While the books we work on tend to have long lead times the pace can at times be fast with the need to juggle multiple books, styles and deadlines.

Ideally you’ll be an InDesign whizz, and proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite. We mostly work in print but web experience would be advantageous.

We’re a small but sociable team so while your experience and skills are really important, we’re also looking for someone eager to learn and who will be a good fit. Salary is dependant on experience and ability.
