ROLE

Overall responsibility for the Retouch Studio Manager/Senior Producer, ensuring delivery of business targets, overseeing department structure, workflow and strategic planning for future business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Stills Post Production Studio, ensuring workflow and processes are fully integrated and operations as efficient as possible, keeping costs down and staff systems productive.

Work closely with the Creative Director to assure a consistent high level of quality output whilst maintaining boundaries of time and budget.

Oversee all client on-site post-production visits, nurturing relationships with some of the industry’s biggest Photographers and Creative Directors.

Work with Creative Director in nurturing and realising new business opportunities with clients, photographers, agents and brands.         

Oversee & manage quotations, invoicing & budgets.

Supervise Stills Post Production scheduling (internal team and external resource), ensuring the production database is kept updated daily with notes and critical information, including running a diary of retoucher availability and time spent on every job.

Strictly control the staffing management to ensure adequate cover for holidays, days off, overtime etc. Provide support and continuity of resource during staff absence, sickness and contract termination.

Establish and maintain a database of freelance creative talent in all areas and specialties, contracting and scheduling freelance or outsourced labor to fulfill requirements.

Harness an environment which encourages team work, energy & creativity, being pro-active and solution-oriented for all members of the Studio.

Recruit and retain high quality employees.  Proactively develop team and individual performance.

Provide longer term planning of resources for significant seasonal peaks and longer term business growth.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years’ experience running a Post Production studio.

Solid experience delivering both operational efficiency and quality.

Excellent communication and people management skills.

The ability to meet tight deadlines and manage workload.

Ability to excel within the dynamic demands of a rapidly growing company.

Comfortable liaising at all levels within the business.

A team player with self-confidence, assertiveness and motivation.

The ability to react positively to rapidly evolving business requirements.

Experience in the luxury and advertising industries.
