Senior Graphic Designer

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic UK communications business, providing event and marketing services. They work in partnership with fund management firms to help them communicate with their clients indirectly or face-to-face as well as operating two direct-to-intermediary portals. All of these businesses are supported by the design team, in which this role will oversee.

As the senior graphic designer you will have overall responsibility for the creation and delivery of effective design work across a variety of media. You will be working primarily within the events field, developing visual identities that will be applied across a range of collateral, including, but not restricted to; invitations, event packs, menus, gifts, notebooks and stage/exhibition sets. All of the design projects will be seen from concept to completion. Your hands-on responsibilities mostly entail offline graphic design work, however you will also be required to contribute to the design of websites and motion graphics, ensuring there is consistency across all points of contact for each event. The role requires innovation, strong layout and design skills, great attention to detail, accuracy, creativity, self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure. You will need to have very strong management skills, overseeing both your own workload, and that of the design team, to ensure all work meets deadlines and adheres to various in-house and client-based visual identities.

The specific requirements from the role are to be able to use Adobe Creative Suite to an exceptional level. You must be able to work both with the team and autonomously, to develop interesting, innovative and creative visual identities for a range of events as well as being able to prepare artwork for commercial print, and conduct appropriate flight-checks to ensure they are print ready and/or meet printer specifications. Most importantly you must have a passion for marketing and the role it can play in developing a business, whilst applying a resourceful, self-motivated, practical attitude. Imagination and creativity is key.
