Senior User Experience Designer

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic Product and UX team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be leading the user-centred design process across MOO’s multi-Webby award winning website, mobile, and other digital projects.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • You’ll work closely with UI/design and collaborate with colleagues across many disciplines; product, technical, creative, customer services and marketing
  • Taking projects through from conception to completion, ensuring your designs are implemented by developers as intended
  • Producing detailed wireframes, storyboards, site-maps and other specifications for build
  • Conducting research and competitor analysis, and organising usability testing for the digital products and services that you design
  • Designing within MOO’s UX strategy and brand guidelines, following established interaction patterns and defining new ones
  • Balancing business requirements with user needs
  • Representing the user’s perspective at all times and work with the other UX designers to raise the user focus within MOO
  • Planning your own time and keeping project documentation up to date

ABOUT YOU

Design:

  • You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience as a UX Designer, Interaction Designer or Information Architect
  • A outstanding portfolio of UX design work, demonstrating your design process from sketch work to full, annotated wireframes and flows
  • You’ll have seen numerous creative projects through to delivery
  • Extensive experience at creating production-level wireframes and storyboards using Omnigraffle, Illustrator or Visio
  • Ability to explore every scenario and an excellent eye for detail and consistency applied to all design work
  • You’ll be an experienced user of Photoshop or Fireworks

Communication and organisation:

  • Working independently and managing your own time, producing UX project plans and time estimates
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas visually, in writing and face-to-face

General

  • E-commerce experience and a track-record of delivering design improvements with measurable commercial impact
  • Confident using analytics and other data in order to inform design decisions
  • Being up-to-date with UX/UI design best practice
  • Experience with content management systems, an understanding of SEO, and website accessibility

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience prototyping in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Creative facilitation experience
  • A familiarity with Agile development methodologies
