Anna Burles Interior Design is a boutique design company concepting and designing residential spaces, commercial spaces and pop up events, sometimes abroad but mostly here in the UK. Recent projects include the design of pop singer Ellie Goulding's London apartment, concepts for a range of Amazon company creative workspaces, and the design of a quirky range of custom wallpapers for Audible UK. Our style is very original and creative, most definitely not mainstream.
THE TEAM
Anna has a team of interior designers and interns who design in CAD and 3D and we are looking to expand the graphics side of the agency's work. We regularly create custom artworks which go into our interiors projects and we also want to expand the branding side of what we do.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a super talented recent grad who'd like to get some commercial experience in their book helping us out on a few exciting live projects.
The work and what you'd be doing:
1. RUSSIAN COFFEE SHOP(S) - the priority project
We are designing two coffee shops in Russia (in Moscow and Siberia). We are styling the whole of the interior but have also been briefed to concept graphics which help complete the full brand experience. So you'd be helping come up with graphics concepts & directions including imagineering new styles of menus, uniforms, signage, point of sale merchandise etc. You'd also be helping prepare an Interior design brand book and brochure in In Design.
2. ART EXHIBITION
We're also organizing an art exhibition for some works we created earlier this summer so you'd be working to the Art Director assisting with creating invites, e-flyers & microsite for the art exhibition.
3. BRANDING CONCEPTS
We are also looking at updating our own branding, so again you'd be working to the Art Director, assisting with the creation of a range of graphics concepts for www.annaburles.com (Whimsy & Wit Ltd, trading as Anna Burles Interior Design) - including logo generation, web/blog design directions, stationery, business card etc.
4. SOURCING APP
We are also creating an interactive Sourcing App, so you would again be assisting the Art Director with the creation of a range of scamps for the mini-book & i-phone app we're creating.
HOW IT WOULD WORK
Duration: We're looking for someone to start immediately and work part-time / flexibly for 2 - 3 months
Hours: You wouldn't need to work full time, rather to a clear brief which can be managed easily while you work on other projects too (although if you wanted to do a more full-time internship that could be discussed)
Pay: The project would be on a fixed-fee basis.
Location: We are based in West London but you could also work from home some of the time so the hours and days would be flexible.
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- You need to be great In Design and have excellent Adobe Suite skills (the essentials)
- If you had any 3D modelling skills that would be great but isn't essential (google sketch up or 3D Studio Max)
- You need to have a highly creative and stylish approach to design
- You also need your own laptop / computer to work from
