Role:
Design Culture is an established design agency working in print and online with a focus on brand strategy, design and communication.

You’ll be looking to join a mac-based studio that produce varied work for a wide range of clients. You see yourself primarily as a budding developer, not a designer. Working with a senior developer, you'll need to be passionate about building a career as a front end developer. You will be confident, enthusiastic, keen to learn and able to communicate well.

Essential skills and experience:

  • HTML5/ CSS3 / JQuery / PHP & MySQL
  • Experience using Wordpress to build content managed websites.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite and associated software
  • Interest in keeping up to date with the latest resources and development trends

  • The ability to manage your own time
     
  • Experience of or an interest in Wireframing & Prototyping
  • Online portfolio with links to live projects outlining your involvement

  • Most of all – raw developer talent and a passion to learn.
     
  • Experienced mac user.

Tasks:

  • Ability to hand code using HTML5/CSS3 
  • Converting designs in to html and Integrating front end design to CMS
  • General support work - prepping imagery, updating content
  • Regular backups, maintenance and upgrades of current client sites
  • Creating email newsletters and integrating with Campaign Monitor
  • Cross platform / old browser troubleshooting

Nice to haves:

Knowledge of Expression Engine
WHM / cPanel server management experience
Basic understanding of social marketing APIs

Education & Experience:
