Creativepool is the UK’s largest ‘design/creative community’, where talent all across the UK can not only showcase their capabilities and previous works to prospective employers, but also apply for jobs directly to companies to potentially progress in their careers. The main purpose of Creativepool is to simplify creative recruitment as much as possible, for both the talent/candidate as well as the employers themselves – this is helped by advice and articles from people in the industry and directly related to the process.
Currently our core focus is that of a jobs board and member directory. However this focus is undergoing a massive transformation. After 12 months of development work we have re-engineered the website to have a new focus which involves creating a social media and networking platform for our current users as well as providing a way for companies within the sector to promote themselves.
This is a fundamental shift in focus for us and with it a completely new way of looking at the possibilities that a social network can bring and how it will work.
About the role
To meet the needs of this new focus we are creating a new marketing position that will focus completely on the B2B functionality of the site.
The role is challenging. There is no precedent. This is a new way of tackling the social media landscape and will involve a re-education of not only the Creativepool client base but also a need to educate businesses of a new way of doing things and the benefits behind it.
The role will focus on being income generating for the site as well as building the brand within the new market. Return on Investment of any project promoting Creativepool will need to be clearly defined and tracked. You will be solely responsible for the B2B marketing of the site and working closely with a B2C marketer and the MD.
How this is done will be down to you. You will be expected to come up with your own ideas of how to achieve the objectives of the role.
As a small, innovative company you will need to come up with the marketing mix, find the most cost effective way of achieving our goals, research, present, launch and track all marketing projects that you would like to implement.
You will need to have a fundamental understanding of all marketing tools (with the exception of PPC, SEO and link building).
You will need to be able to talk to MD's, CD's at the highest level and engage them with our product.
Things you need to have:
Be innovative, able to come up with your own ideas
A marketing or similar degree
Have an established record in the B2B marketing
Have an established record in digital marketing
To be able to write thought provoking
Things that would be nice for you to have:
Experience of running campaigns in international markets.
Have worked on the launch of a new digital product
Knowledge of the creative industries (digital, advertising, product especially)
A sense of humour
A work hard play hard attitude
