Leeds-born Dave Sewards definitely didn't take an orthodox route into marketing. Having worked as a panel beater, he then trained as an accountant. It was only through doing the books for Brahm (now Brass) that he moved to the 'dark side' and trained in marketing. 10 years at Brahm and 5 years at Charles Walls Group (CWG) led to him setting up Home in 2002.

The agency has grown organically and by acquisition, and now employs 200 people in Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Gibraltar and Sydney with annual revenues in excess of £25m. Home has won many awards, but being named the UK's No 1 Independent Agency for 2015 by clients and peers is their most satisfying.

Working across branding, advertising, search-driven digital marketing and media, Home's clients include Interflora, ASDA, Lottoland, N Brown and perhaps the most notable one of all, Jet2. Dave helped take Jet2 from 1 aircraft and 5 destinations to a fleet of 70 aircraft travelling to 55 destinations with over 6m passengers.
