In 1994 ‘La Sorbetteria Castiglione’ was opened in Bologna. It was first of its kind experience of running a business as there were not many ice-cream shops in Bologna and also the average quality of ice-cream was fairly low and customers had little information about production techniques and raw materials. ‘La Sorbetteria Castiglione’ started their journey full of enthusiasm and the good fortune to have worked for nearly 10 years together with the Negrini family, experts in life and work and owners of the legendary Pino ice-cream shop. Whereas now there are more than 100 ice-cream shops in the city and the surrounding areas and generally icecream is much better everywhere than it was before.
